ArmInfo.Very favorable conditions have been created for the person sitting at the helm of power in Azerbaijan in order to quickly get everything possible from this weak, incompetent leader of Armenia.
On June 10, on Baghramyan Avenue near the parliament building, where protests are taking place, the military-political figure of Artsakh, the hero of Artsakh, Major General Vitaly Balasanyan, stated this in a conversation with journalists, in response to a request to comment on Azerbaijan's new demands on Armenia, including and regarding the fictitious genocide in Khojaly (Ivanyan - Arm.).
The general recalled that over these 30 years, Azerbaijani propaganda has not been able to find a single real argument that genocide was committed in Khojaly, since nothing of the kind was committed there.
"This is a lie. There was no genocide. These statements have nothing to do with reality. This issue has been repeatedly discussed with international organizations that worked on the ground. They give numbers of missing people that are far from reality. Azerbaijan is speculating on this as a political topic , to get what they want from the weak authorities of Armenia," noted Vitaly Balasanyan.
When asked whether he considers a positive step from the Armenian side on this issue realistic, Balasanyan advised to address this issue to Pashinyan himself. "Nikol has begun a process that has never happened before on the planet. Nikol and Azerbaijan are carrying out a certain process of delimitation and demarcation, which the world has not seen in its entire existence. It does not correspond to any international norm. This document on delimitation will be thrown away tomorrow, no one will ratifies, they won't even listen or watch," Balasanyan expressed confidence. He again recalled that there are certain standards for conducting such a process. Calling the so-called Alma-Ata Declaration empty and false, Balasanyan noted that this document cannot simply serve as the basis for the work that is being carried out today for the simple reason that Azerbaijan does not consider itself the legal successor of Soviet Azerbaijan.
Referring to the position of the authorities that the Artsakh authorities surrendered Artsakh, Balasanyan said that if they have grounds, then let them initiate criminal cases, otherwise they should not speak without reason. He also called the criminal prosecution of Artsakh residents by Armenian law enforcement agencies groundless, noting that they have no legal basis for this.
