ArmInfo. One of the most favorite festivals, both among local residents and guests of the capital, has opened in Yerevan - Yerevan Wine Days. The central streets of Yerevan (Saryan-Moskovyan-Tumanyan) traditionally turned into the city's wine arteries, marking the opening of the wine festival.
This year Yerevan Wine Days will present a new concept based on the centuries-old history and culture of the Armenian jug (karas). The main character of the festival is the karas, as a witness and bearer of history. The most important goal of the event is to present the centuries-old history of Armenian winemaking to the whole world, as well as the development of festival tourism in the region.
The festival will open to visitors almost the entire palette of Armenian winemaking, presenting about 80 wineries and about 700 varieties of Armenian wines.
As the press service of EventToura, which organizes Yerevan Wine Days, previously reported, the festival area will be divided into several zones: wine zone (where visitors can try to get acquainted with the best assortment of Armenian wines); gastronomic (where up to 30 catering establishments are represented); musical (the stage will be located at the intersection of Tumanyan-Parpetsi streets); charitable (in addition to the fact that the festival is a major tourist and economic event, for 3 years it has also been a platform for a number of charitable organizations involved in the education and rehabilitation of soldiers).
In addition, up to 10 retail kiosks will be installed on the wine streets, where you can purchase "Wine Enjoyment Packages", tickets, individual glasses; raffle pavilion and souvenir and wine pavilion of "Yerevan Wine Days". In particular, the "Wine Enjoyment Package", which has become a symbol of the "Yerevan Wine Days", consists of: a branded Yerevan Wine Days glass, 12 coupons, a branded glass cover, an information booklet with an event map, a coupon for the main draw, information about participating wine companies with QR codes, etc. The cost of the package is 12 thousand drams.
