ArmInfo.Words of hatred against Artsakh people not only do not decrease, but also acquire new manifestations day by day. Artsakh Ombudsman Gegham Stepanyan wrote about this on his Facebook page, noting that there was quite a lot of talk on social networks and the media about inciting hatred against the people of Artsakh.
At the same time, he drew attention to the fact that during this period, public requests and exhortations did not yield any results.
"Hate speech not only does not decrease, but also acquires new manifestations day by day. What is shown in the picture is a clear manifestation of incitement to hatred, in relation to which many Artsakh residents expressed objective indignation, demanding the use of tools for bringing to legal responsibility.
I inform you that the co-founder of the Armenian Center for Political Rights, human rights activist Hovhannes Khudoyan submitted a statement of crime to the RA law enforcement agencies. We will monitor the progress.
In addition, I would also like to inform you that together with Artak Beglaryan, Nare Simonyan and Arega Hovsepyan, we are launching an initiative whose goal is to record manifestations of hate speech directed against the people of Artsakh and combat them through judicial and other methods.
We count on your support in this matter and, if you notice manifestations of hate speech, please send a link or photo to the Artsakh Human Rights Defender's Facebook page. Submissions will be compiled into reports and/or used to prosecute those who incite hatred.
At the same time, we count on the support of the legal community in initiating trials based on the collected materials," said the Artsakh Ombudsman.
