ArmInfo. The head of the Tavush for Peace movement, Primate of the Tavush Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan demanded that all those who called him an agent of foreign intelligence services be brought to justice.
Earlier, the National Security Service of Armenia, in response to a request from the Armenian media, officially denied information disseminated by government circles that Bagrat Galstanyan is an agent of foreign intelligence services.
"Claims by David Levonian, a journalist for the pro-government news portal Civic, that the archbishop is a KGB agent and has received millions of dollars from the Kremlin have not been confirmed by NSS probes initiated based on a libel claim filed against a government journalist." - says the Movement's statement. In this vein, the Movement recalled that the checks lasted more than a month, but nothing was found.
Taking note of the above, the Archbishop today publicly demanded that all those who slandered him be brought to justice. "If the National Security Service of Armenia has refuted the slander that I am a foreign agent, then let everyone who slandered me be held accountable," Galstanyan said.
