ArmInfo.Armenia and Poland will cooperate in archeology, museum studies and preservation of monuments.
On May 23, in Warsaw, Poland, Rector of the University of Warsaw Alojzy Nowak and Director of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia Arsen Bobokyan, Director of the Service "Heroes of Historical and Cultural Reserves-Museums and Protection of the Historical Environment" Armen Hovhannisyan and Director of the SNCO "Memorial of the Sardarapat Heroic Battle, National Museum of Armenian Ethnography and History of the Liberation Struggle" Karen Pakhlevanyan, signed a memorandum of Armenian-Polish cooperation in the aforementioned fields.
Then a seminar was held on the patterns of production, distribution and use of ceramics in Iron Age Armenia. Roman Hovsepyan, head of the paleobiology and ethnobiology research group at the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, gave a special lecture on the topic "Agriculture and food consumption in the prehistoric South Caucasus."
