ArmInfo. The leader of the Tavush for the Motherland movement, candidate for Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Bagrat Galstanyan, announced the resumption of protests on Monday morning.
"Tomorrow, at 08:00, if our demands are not met, we will begin acts of disobedience to force the authorities to reckon with the will of the people," he said.
Peaceful protests will take place throughout Armenia, which will force the authorities to take into account the demands of the people.
Today Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan was announced as a candidate for prime minister from the Tavush for the Motherland movement, which opposes unilateral concessions to Azerbaijan. He noted that he did not, does not and will not have expectations for this position or for other degrees. According to him, since he will not be able to combine service and premiership, he asked His Holiness Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II to freeze his 30-year spiritual ministry.
The Archbishop also recalled that he has dual citizenship, and this implies restrictions. As the candidate for prime minister indicated, they will act in accordance with the requirements of the law and within the legal framework.
Protests in Armenia began after it became known on April 19 that Yerevan and Baku had agreed to begin delimiting the border with Tavush.
