Moscow accuses West of trying to undermine peace in  South Caucasus

ArmInfo. Moscow accused the West of manipulation, intrigue and games that have led to numerous victims around the world in recent years.

The corresponding accusations were made by official representative of  the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova on May 23 during a  weekly briefing, in response to the question whether it was possible  that the May turbulence associated with the assassinations and deaths  of high-ranking representatives of a number of countries would lead  to a violation of the implementation of some regional agreements. In  this vein, she listed a number of countries in which, according to  her, tens, hundreds, and often millions of people died as a result of  'Western intrigues'. According to her, among them are the countries  of the South Caucasus.

"Maybe we'll look at the region of the South Caucasus that is close  to us, where those who do not want to bring peace there, but want a  bloody conflict to start again, are now trying to get in.  And this   is exactly so, because peace is what the leaders of Armenia, Russia  and Azerbaijan agreed on. This was recorded in documents that were  agreed upon by the three parties and represent not just a real road  map for the peaceful resolution of the conflict, but also peace,  stability and security in the region for decades to come," Zakharova  noted.

In her opinion, this caused enormous envy and aggression from those  who do not see peace as a doctrine of international relations. "Maybe  we'll remember the number of victims there," Zakharova asked.
