"My dear, my beloved, guess for yourself": Zakharova comments with  song lyrics on Pashinyan`s accusations against two CSTO countries 

ArmInfo. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, commented with song lyrics on the accusations of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan that he  knows at least two CSTO countries that participated in the  preparation of the war against Armenia and showed an imitation of the  desire to help Armenians.

So, on May 23, during a weekly briefing, in response to a  corresponding question, she, in particular, said:  "Remember this  song was: "My dear, my beloved, guess for yourself." I'm honestly  interested in what countries the Prime Minister of Armenia was  talking about? We have to guess it ourselves, or will they tell us  later?"

At the same time, she expressed the belief that it would be more  logical to voice these countries if you made such serious statements.

"Well, let's leave this to official Yerevan. As for Russia, it did  everything possible - and Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke  about this on October 17, 2020 on Russian TV "so that Armenia would  not feel abandoned and forgotten." This is a direct quote from our  president. Everything was done exactly as the President of Russia  said," Zakharova noted.

Next, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry  decided to recall what exactly was done by Moscow in those days.  According to her, literally from the first days of the armed conflict  in the fall of 2020, the Russian side made the most active political  and diplomatic efforts for a ceasefire. "Those who have forgotten can  remember all the relevant statements and messages for the media on  the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian  Federation and the Kremlin," she noted, drawing attention to the  telephone conversations of the Russian side with Armenia and  Azerbaijan at that time, and the achievement of the first ceasefire  agreement October 10, 2020.

"But the Prime Minister of Armenia insisted on continuing  hostilities. What did this lead to? This led to the capture of  Shushi, which opened the way to Stepanakert. Everyone remembers this  too and all this is documented. Thanks to the personal efforts of the  Russian President, it was possible to bring the parties to sign  tripartite statement of November 9, 2020 on a complete ceasefire and  cessation of hostilities. Both this document and the trilateral  agreements adopted at the highest level in its development  subsequently serve as an uncontested roadmap for a sustainable  process of Armenian-Azerbaijani normalization," the Russian diplomat  concluded.

During the government hour in parliament on May 22, Prime Minister of  Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said that what the President of Belarus said  to his Azerbaijani counterpart he has been trying to convey to the  Armenian people over the past four years.

"I personally know about participation in preparations for war  against us at least two CSTO countries. These states imitate their  desire to help us.   It must be said frankly that this war was not  directed directly against Nagorno- Karabakh, it was a war against  Armenia, against its existence. After November 9, 2020, these  expectations were not met.   Similar actions were taken in May 2021,  when the country's parliament was dissolved ahead of early  parliamentary elections. But even then these hopes did not come  true," Pashinyan noted, adding that these actions actively continued  in subsequent years.   The last evidence of these actions was on May  9 (numerous rallies in Yerevan, ed. note), but it also failed.
