ArmInfo.On May 13-17, NATO operational planners held a course at the Vazgen Sargsyan Military Academy of the RA Ministry of Defense, which was attended by servicemen of different units of the RA Armed Forces.
According to the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Defense, the participants were familiarized with the process of planning operations at various stages: from operational to other functional levels. Notably, these days the Armenian servicemen are also participating in Regex 2024 headquarters exercise that have started in Moldova on May 20, within the framework of which seminars are organized on military training in accordance with Western standards.
The Regex 2024 manoeuvres also include the organisation of several workshops throughout 2024. The first seminar took place from February 16th-March 1st, the second was held from April 22nd-26th.
The exercise is organised with the support of NATO's Allied Joint Force Command in Naples (Italy) and is aimed at training the military according to Western standards for planning and conducting exercises, managing crisis situations, strengthening and assessing the interoperability of forces in a multinational environment.
about 30 representatives from NATO partner countries are attending in the exercise: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Uzbekistan, Egypt, Jordan, the Kingdom of Bahrain, Morocco, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Tunisia, Egypt, Malta, the African Union (Ghana and Benin), and also staff officers of the National Army of Moldova.
