ArmInfo. The dialogue between Armenia and Azerbaijan on the issue of the territorial integrity of states continues, but there is no agreement on this issue yet, Armenian NA Speaker Alen Simonyan stated at a joint press conference with the Head of the Chamber of Deputies of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Claude Wiseler.
According to him, there are several statements by the Azerbaijani side, including at the level of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, mentioning the Alma-Ata Declaration of 1991. "This is one of the topics being discussed at this stage. But we have no agreement, and discussions continue," Simonyan said.
The speaker also answered the question about the prospects for unblocking the region's communications. According to him, Armenia adheres to the previously stated principles and negotiates with Azerbaijan based on the stated position. "Yerevan is ready to continue these negotiations at all levels, not only within the framework of the peace treaty. We attach importance to the idea of opening all communications, which is reflected in the statement of November 9, 2020," said the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, expressing hope that this work will be crowned with success.
