ArmInfo.The former commander of the Armed Forces of Artsakh, Samvel Babayan, proposed  to tear off  the  shoulder straps of the general, who, due to his incompetence, incorrectly reported to the prime minister about the situation with Iskander, and the latter, being unaware of military service, interpreted it incorrectly.

"We need to take off the general's shoulder straps who did not  understand what type of missile was being struck," he said on air at  , commenting on the earlier statement of Prime Minister Nikol  Pashinyan that the missiles of the Russian Iskander complexes did not  explode during military operations in  Nagorno-Karabakh.

Babayan also denied rumors that "the weapon did not work because it  was encrypted, and the codes or the control panel were with the  Russian partners, who did not share them at the right time."

According to him, the following types of warheads can be used to hit  targets with Iskander missile system : high- explosive fragmentation,  concrete-piercing, cluster and nuclear warheads.

"If used against infantry, they open up in the sky, turn into small  bombs and explode. This does not mean that the weapon exploded by  10%, it speaks of your incompetence," he pointed out.

In February 2021, in one of his interviews, Pashinyan stated that the  missiles of the Russian Iskander complexes did not explode during military operations in Nagorno-Karabakh.   This is how the head of the Armenian government commented on the  statement of the country's former president Serzh Sargsyan that the  Armenian side could have used the Iskander on the fourth day of the  war, when Azerbaijan had accumulated huge forces and military  equipment in Horadiz and other areas.  Sargsyan also asked why the  oil and gas facilities of Azerbaijan were not hit by these complexes.
