ArmInfo. The video about Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, distributed by opposition deputies of the Armenian parliament, is an outright manipulation, Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Alen Simonyan told reporters on May 21.
He noted that the video made an attempt to take this or that statement of the prime minister out of context. "They presented statements made by the head of government 5-6 years ago and compared them with today's realities. But excuse me, the situation is changing rapidly, one might say hourly. You can, for example, compare the situation after the war in Artsakh or the attack by Azerbaijan on the territory of Armenia "These are completely different realities. But one thing is clear: our attitude towards our homeland has not changed and is not changing," said the head of the Armenian parliament, pointing, among other things, to the process of delimitation and demarcation of borders, during which the Armenian side will defend every centimeter of its territory.
Simonyan noted that the current process is laying the foundations for determining the final border. The current demarcation line in the area of the village of Kirants will not be revised. From a legal point of view, the speaker noted, this would be wrong, since "25 houses on that side will remain with us." "We do not plan to limit ourselves to just this section. We have to go along the entire border. There may be some movement on their part, but we cannot cede territory to Armenia, and we do not expect to take anything from them. Therefore, we are saying where the border, that's where it goes," said the head of parliament.
As for the question of where the next stage of delimitation will take place, as the speaker emphasized, he has no information about this.
