ArmInfo. Statements by the President of Azerbaijan on the process of delimitation and demarcation of borders with Armenia are aimed at a domestic audience, Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Alen Simonyan told reporters on May 21.
According to him, during bilateral meetings the problem of vocabulary is constantly raised. "It is surprising that one vocabulary is used during negotiations, and another is used inside the country. I can give my own example. When I negotiate with my Azerbaijani colleague, I get the impression that we are talking about a long-awaited and friendly meeting, but in the course of them During the negotiations, we constantly talk about the need to stop using words of hatred and reduce belligerent rhetoric," the speaker emphasized.
He added that any country, including Azerbaijan, can simply cheat another state. But in relations, Yerevan needs to take appropriate steps so that Baku knows about Yerevan's intentions to reduce tensions in bilateral relations. The conclusion of a peace treaty could become a document aimed at solving this problem.
Earlier the Azerbaijani leader stated that, at the request of Baku, Yerevan returned four villages "in the Gazakh region." According to him, delimitation and demarcation are carried out on Azerbaijan's terms, and this is a victory for Baku.
