ArmInfo. On the sidelines of the international conference of ministers of culture held in Ashgabat, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia Zhanna Andreasyan held a meeting with Minister of Education of Turkmenistan Bayramgul Orazdurdyeva .
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science. Zhanna Andreasyan presented the reforms being carried out in the education sector of the Republic of Armenia, talking about the introduction of a new general education standard, digitalization of the sector and the use of new technologies in the education system. Andreasyan also presented a school nutrition program for students in grades 1-4 of regional schools in Armenia, which attracted the interest of the Turkmen minister.
During the meeting, the issue of implementing scholarship programs in the field of higher education was also discussed. The importance of developing direct cooperative ties between universities of the two countries through the implementation of student and professor exchange programs was especially emphasized. As part of the reforms of higher education and science, the Armenian minister touched upon the issue of integration of higher education and science, presenting a program for the construction of "Academic City", the possibility of including foreign scientists in joint scientific projects.
Bayramgul Orazdurdyeva ., expressing gratitude for the meeting, noted that Turkmenistan is also at the stage of educational reforms, and in this regard, general development trends in the field of education and infrastructure improvement are noticeable. The Minister of Education of Turkmenistan also noted that Ashgabat is interested in Yerevan's experience in the development of education, in particular, the activities of TUMO centers in the field of non-formal education, the introduction of a dual system in the field of vocational education. The parties also touched upon a number of other issues of mutual interest.
