ArmInfo.Very soon we will sit at the same table with all the political forces of Armenia, regardless of their position and ideology. This was stated by Primate of the Tavush diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, the leader of the "Tavush for the Motherland" movement Bagrat Srbazan during a protest on May 15.
In a few days, according to him, there will be a meeting with Armenian medical workers. In this regard, he expressed support for Samvel Danielyan, Director of the Center of Haematology named after prof. R.H. Yeolyan, who was fired today. According to his colleague, Dr. Gevorg Tamamyan, the reason for dismissal was that the head of the Center greeted Bagrat Srbazan during another peaceful march. Srbazan said that he would also meet with former officers, lawyers, economists, artists - with all representatives of Armenian society.
It should be noted that reinforced police have been deployed near the building of the National Opera and Ballet Theater, where the international forum of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is taking place. Based on the concentration of law enforcement agencies, it can be concluded that almost all law enforcement forces, including those from the areas adjacent to Yerevan, are involved in maintaining public order in the area of Freedom Square.
Thousands of police representatives with special equipment, shields and batons are on Freedom Square, which is fenced with metal structures. It was also planned to hold a rally of the Tavush for the Motherland movement, which was announced on the evening of May 14. After this statement, the police announced that the streets adjacent to the opera building would be temporarily blocked.
However, the protesters approached the Opera building as far as the metal fences and security forces allowed, and booed the cars of the delegations, arriving at the forum, chanting "Nikol is a traitor!", "Shame!". In the hands of many participants were photographs of Artsakh state officials who are now imprisoned in Azerbaijan.
