After our yesterday's announcement about holding a protest rally near the Opera House, where a major event of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will take place, the current authorities are in a panic, reads a message of the movement "Tavush in the name of the Motherland".
This conclusion is due to the fact that today the Police issued a statement stating that the movement of citizens and vehicles on the streets adjacent to the Opera House building is restricted.
"We have information that even the work of cafes in the areas adjacent to Freedom Square is difficult. This best shows the fears of the current government and its leadership," the message noted.
Holding the action on Freedom Square has one clear goal - to show the whole world, guests who have arrived in Armenia from different countries, that the Prime Minister of Armenia does not have legitimacy in the country to surrender territories, and to move around the city he is forced to resort to the help of security forces.
"The authorities, by their behavior, help us achieve our goal. Therefore, we once again call on all our compatriots, today, at 15:30, to be in the indicated places and peacefully march to Freedom Square to express disagreement," the statement says.
In particular, participants will gather for the procession at several points at once: in the park named after. M. Saryan, the park adjacent to the Conservatory, in the courtyard of the Church of St. Anne and on Northern Avenue.
