ArmInfo. The entire Armenian people today are in a state of fatigue due to the actions of the Armenian authorities, the leader of the "Tavush for the Motherland" movement, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, told reporters on May 14.
According to him, the authorities launched psychological, moral and physical terror against their own people. However, despite these and other actions, it is already difficult to change the mood of the people. "The mood of the people is very good. In the morning they are already carrying out pre-agreed actions," the archbishop emphasized.
Speaking about the actions of the police, who used brute force against the demonstrators today, he noted that they also want to join the protest movement. "A large group of law enforcement officers have already joined our movement," said Bagrat Galstanyan, adding that the actions of the "red berets" seeking to break the spirit of the people lead to the exact opposite result.
According to the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs, since the morning of May 14, 38 participants in the actions organized by the "Tavush for the Motherland" movement led by Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan were brought into custody. According to NA deputy from the opposition faction "Armenia" Gegham Manukyan, the actions of the police will not stop the popular movement. "Our demands remain in force," the parliamentarian emphasized.
It is interesting to note that the collective West does not react in any way to what is happening in Yerevan. There is not a word of condemnation about the use of disproportionate force by security forces, including against journalists. But the same collective West reacts very "sensitively" to similar actions of the police in the capital of Georgia - Tbilisi.
