ArmInfo.The parliamentary opposition expressed its readiness to support the process of expressing a vote of no confidence in Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, opposition Armenian MP Tigran Abrahamyan told reporters.
According to him, the day before there was a meeting with the leaders of the initiative movement "Tavush in the name of the Motherland". The main purpose of this discussion was to determine the readiness of the parliamentary opposition forces (the With Honor and Armenia factions) at this moment to serve the agenda related to the process of expressing no confidence in the Prime Minister.
"We informed the leaders of the movement about our readiness to get involved in the process. At this stage the discussion was largely limited to this. These are certain procedural issues, some of which are technical in nature, some of which are not determined by us. But we expressed our readiness," said Tigran Abrahamyan.
On May 9, a nationwide rally was held on Republic Square in Yerevan. Bishop Bagrat Galstanyan stated that the head of the current government had failed to govern the country in all areas, and therefore he demanded his resignation. After the demand was rejected by the ruling faction, Srbazan announced that Prime Minister Pashinyan had ignored , so a vote of no confidence should be passed against him in parliament. He also called for strikes and a boycott of classes.
This morning, the head of the Tavush diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, the Archbishop, called on citizens to gather on Republic Square in the center of Yerevan at 18:30 for a national rally.
