Russian Presidential Assistant Yuri Ushakov told reporters on May 6.
"On May 9, leaders of foreign countries and other foreign representatives will take part in a military parade to commemorate the 79th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The leaders of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan will be present at the parade, and President of Cuba Miguel D¡az-Canel Bermudez , President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith and President of the Republic of Bissau-Guinea Umaro Mokhtar Sissoco Embalo , also be specially invited" Ushakov said.
According to him, the heads of the executive bodies of the CIS, the Union State, the CSTO, the EAEU, the Eurasian Development Bank, the Shanghai Organization and Cooperation and a number of other states, as well as the heads of diplomatic missions of friendly states and military attaches from friendly states are also invited to the parade.
"After the parade, the President of the Russian Federation, together with foreign leaders, will take part in a ceremony of jointly laying flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the Alexander Garden. Then a reception on behalf of our President will be held in the Kremlin for the heads of delegations present at the parade," Ushakov noted, RIA Novosti reports.
At the same time, he added that Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will not attend the Victory Parade in Moscow on May 9. "Obviously, the Prime Minister of Armenia will not be able to attend the parade. And Azerbaijani President Aliyev will also be absent this time. He visited Moscow recently, just literally 10 days ago. There were close contacts with him, a five- hour contact between the presidents. And this is due to the fact that at the same time a solemn event dedicated to the memory of Heydar Aliyev is being held in Azerbaijan," Ushakov explained.
Today it became known that Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan will not participate in the inauguration of the Russian President, which is scheduled for May 7.
According to independent analysts in Armenia, given the current low level of Armenian-Russian interstate relations, it is possible that Pashinyan might not have received an invitation from the Kremlin.
