ArmInfo.The Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) expressed support for the "Tavush for the Motherland" movement led by the Primate of the Tavush Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan.
ANCA published a photo of Galstanyan on its Facebook page with the words: "Armenia, faith and freedom."
In addition, according to the "Tavush for the Motherland" movement, the Union of Armenian Academicians of Zurich expressed its support to them. "Today, more than ever, the Diaspora can no longer remain indifferent to the unilateral concessions and unconstitutional steps of the Armenian authorities. We highly appreciate the movement initiated by the head of the Tavush diocese, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan and our caring compatriots in defense of today's borders of Armenia.
The Union of Armenian Academicians of Zurich expresses full support for the "Tavush for the Motherland" movement and similar popular, non-party movements and is full of hopes for the restoration of historical and legal justice of the Armenian people," the statement says.
In addition, on May 4, a sit-in under the slogan "No to territorial concessions" took place in front of the Armenian Embassy in Lebanon. Among the organizers of the protest action is the youth wing of the ARF of Lebanon.
The movement led by Bagrat Galstanyan today at noon from the crossroads of the Sevan Peninsula continued the procession to Yerevan.
On May 4, a procession to Yerevan started from the village of Kirants. Citizens demand that the Armenian authorities abandon the policy of unilateral concessions to Azerbaijan. Bagrat Srbazan noted that on May 9 by noon the movement will arrive in Yerevan and present specific demands to the Armenian authorities.
