From April 29 to 30, a delegation led by the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, Colonel Artur Yeroyan, participated in the annual discussions of the RA Ministry of Defense and the NATO Defense Education Enhancement Program (DEEP) in Armenia at NATO headquarters.
During the meeting, the parties reviewed the support provided to military educational institutions and training centers in Armenia under the DEEP framework and identified new areas of cooperation.
The parties agreed on a cooperation program for 2024, and prospects for cooperation in 2025 were outlined.
Additionally, Colonel Yeroyan held a private discussion with the Director of the Cooperative Security Division of the NATO International Military Staff, Dacian-Tiberiu ?erban.
The current RA-NATO military cooperation programs and possibilities for their expansion were discussed.
The mobile field hospital of the Medical Battalion of the Military Medical Department of the Ministry of Defence has been deployed at the Bakonykuti training center in the Varpalota region of the Hungarian Republic since April 30, 2024, to take part in multinational military exercises as part of the Vigorous Warrior 2024 program organized by the NATO Center of Excellence for Military Medicine.
The largest international military medical event involves military medical units from the armed forces of 32 countries and 7 civilian organizations. The event will continue until May 10th.
The medical unit of the Armenian Armed Forces is participating in this event as a Role 2 field hospital MTF. Additionally, the exercise includes the next stage of medical assessment of the mobile military medical unit according to NATO standards.
