ArmInfo. "The leaders of the settlements of the enlarged Noyemberyan community refused to participate in the work of the commission's working group, since we realized that what was happening would continue. Specifically in Voskepar, demining work is already underway, and it will probably be completed today," Head of the Voskepar village administration Ishkhan Aghbalyan told the citizens gathered in Kirants on April 23.
"There will be demarcation and delimitation in this area. The issue regarding other places where there are disputed territories, we were told, will be resolved later. That is, the triangles that he announced 10 days ago remain, and the enclave too. These are issues that will be discussed later. Everything should be decided as a result of a referendum, which will depend 90% on Azerbaijan," Aghbalyan noted.
According to him, it turns out that if Azerbaijan does not want a referendum, then you yourself understand what will happen to these territories.
"That is, Voskepar, in short, will remain an enclave, because it will be cut off from both the front and the back. We are talking about the Berkaber triangle and the territory on the right bank of the river that belongs to them. We see a picture of a unilateral concession, so we refuse further participation," Aghbalyan said.
When asked what their next actions would be, Agbalyan noted that they had already made a decision and left this working commission. "Who knows what will happen next? We will hold a meeting with the villagers and decide our next steps," said the head of Voskepar.
Earlier, the Prime Minister of Armenia already boasted of the first border post established between Armenia and Azerbaijan due to unilateral concessions by the Armenian side and the transfer of Armenian land to the enemy.
On April 19, the commissions for demarcation of the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan agreed to begin demarcation of the border from the Tavush region. The process is progressing only thanks to the unilateral concessions of the Armenian authorities. The collective West, Turkiye, the UN Secretary General, and NATO welcomed this process.
