ArmInfo. The Armenian authorities are making adjustments to the "schedule of illnesses," which allows medical specialists to determine a citizen's suitability for military service.
As the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Suren Papikyan stated, on April 18, at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, presenting the corresponding draft decision, it is planned to recognize the states of manifestation of a number of diseases as fit for military service with restrictions in the list of diseases that determine the degree of fitness of a citizen or military personnel, and also indicate the conditions for military service, which are contraindicated in such health conditions.
"We are talking about declaring unfit for military service persons with cysts without clinical manifestations and pathological changes or without behavioral disorders and problems associated with learning and literacy, as well as the demobilization of conscripts with confirmed nocturnal enuresis (urinary incontinence at night - ed.) without symptoms of urological and neurological cases," he explained.
