According to the court decision, Malyan was sentenced to 1 year in prison, but taking into account the time spent in custody, this period was reduced to 5 months and 7 days. In addition, Malyan will be charged 108 and 198 thousand drams for procedural expenses.
Commenting on the court's decision, lawyer Ruben Melikyan noted that the judge will bear all responsibility for the decision made. "This is her right, which must be accepted as a fact. I, at least, will remember this decision," the lawyer said.
Malyan is charged with public calls aimed at promoting hatred against a group of people based on political views.
