ArmInfo. The Coordination Center "For Armenian Statehood" is going to appeal to the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Armenia on suspicion of committing acts falling under the article on high treason by Armenian officials, reads a message received by ArmInfo from the chairman of the Democratic Union party Suren Petrosyan, who speaks on behalf of the coordination center.
The statement, in particular, says: "As you know, we gave Nikol Pashinyan, Alen Simonyan or Ararat Mirzoyan 2 days for one of them to visit Voskepar and explain to the villagers on what basis the representatives of the European Union observation mission with the knowledge and permission RA state bodies considered many parts of the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia as Azerbaijani and avoided them.
The two-day period has already expired, and none of them visited the village of Voskepar, so we are starting the process of filing an application with the RA Prosecutor General's Office on suspicion of high treason."
On April 9, the chairman of the Democratic Union party Suren Petrosyan said that on April 8, after the visit of the European Observer Mission (EUMA) to Voskepar, the residents of Voskepar had doubts and even the conviction that the lands of the Tavush region were handed over unilaterally, since EUMA with the permission of state and local authorities, drove around some sections of the Yerevan-Noyemberyan road, considering them disputed or Azerbaijani territories.
"I, naturally authorized in advance by the village residents to present their demand, am turning to Nikol Pashinyan, Alen Simonyan and Ararat Mirzoyan with a demand to visit Voskepar within two days and give an appropriate explanation to the village residents. Otherwise, we will report with suspicion of high treason to the main prosecutor's office of the republic Armenia," the message read.
