ArmInfo. The draft statement "On the delimitation and demarcation of borders between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan," initiated by the parliamentary opposition, was not adopted on April 11 due to the lack of quorum.
According to the head of the ruling "Civil Contract" faction, Hayk Konjorian, the project was handed over to them 1-2 hours before the closed meeting, and they did not participate in the work on preparing the statement.
"In addition, the text of the statement contains a number of provisions that have nothing to do with the process of delimitation and demarcation," Konjorian said, saying that the "Civil Contract" faction will not participate in the vote. Secretary of the faction Artsvik Minasyan noted that today the project will be put into official circulation and the parliamentary majority will be given the opportunity to work more actively on the document.
31 out of 105 MPs voted for the bill, 1 (from the ruling faction) was against.
