ArmInfo. The Armenian authorities fully support the Turkish-Azerbaijani genocidal policy towards the Armenians. The first Ombudsperson of Armenia, Larisa Alaverdyan, expressed a similar opinion in a conversation with journalists during a protest rally of the "Together" movement.
The human rights activist noted that she has been talking about this since 2018, and to this day no one has tried to refute such statements, including representatives of the ruling party. She emphasized that to make such conclusions, she does not need any secret documents, but just watch the results of the authorities' activities.
Larisa Alaverdyan stated that Nikol Pashinyan does not understand anything about the document that he signed on November 9, 2020, and does not know that the Republic of Artsakh was formed in territories that belonged to the Armenian population who lived there for more than a thousand years. At the same time, she emphasized that Pashinyan did not have the right to sign the tripartite statement of November 9, 2020, since it was about territories that are not part of the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia. And consequently, as the ombudsperson noted, today Azerbaijan talks to Armenia from the position of the enforcer. "That is, there is no dialogue. One side - Azerbaijan - demands, the second - Russia - is considering, the third - Armenia - fulfills," she emphasized.
Ms. Alaveryadn expressed confidence that the current government came to power with clear goals: to de-Armenize Artsakh and turn Armenia into an appendage of Turkey and Azerbaijan. During today's rally, the "Together" movement announced a protest rally at the building of the National Assembly of Armenia on April 10 at 16:00.
