ArmInfo. The mission of European observers considered the Ijevan- Voskepar road (Tavush marz) as Azerbaijani territory, in connection with which I sent a request to the RA Foreign Minister, which remained unanswered. Independent MP Taguhi Tovmasyan stated in a conversation with reporters on April 9, after an urgent meeting on the issue of delimitation and demarcation, which was held in a closed format. She said that she asked Ararat Mirzoyan what maps the mission of European observers was using in Armenia, but there was no answer.
Tovmasyan received similar information about the statement of the observation mission from the head of the Democratic Consolidation party Suren Petrosyan, who has been in the village of Voskepar in the Tavush region for more than 10 days. He said that during a meeting with representatives of the EU observation mission, the latter reported that they had come from Ijevan to Voskepar through Lori, Alaverdi, since the Ijevan-Voskepar road, 30 km long, is Azerbaijani territory. To avoid any provocations, European observers chose a longer route of 200 km.
"This is a disaster, we need to sound the alarm. This means that we are facing a serious threat," the MP emphasized.
She compared what was happening with the loss of Artsakh, when the head of government Pashinyan declared that Artsakh is Azerbaijan, which was followed by the establishment of an Azerbaijani checkpoint, and in the end Artsakh was surrendered. Today, according to Tovmasyan, Nikol Pashinyan is repeating the same scenario with Tavush, saying "it is necessary to surrender these villages, otherwise there will be war." According to Tovmasyan, during the meeting on the issue of delimitation and demarcation, nothing new was said, but only fears of the loss of the territorial integrity of Armenia, the refusal to return the sovereign territory of Armenia with an area of about 200 sq. km, occupied by the Azerbaijani side, were confirmed. The MP said that she intends to write letters and hold meetings with European partners.
