ArmInfo. The company sergeants and squad commander ordered the crew to leave their combat positions  during the September 2022 attack, the Armenia's Prosecutor General's Office reports.

According to the source, company sergeant of the rifle battalion  company of the Nth military unit of the RA Ministry of Defense,  contract soldier V.G. and squad commander N.M., being included in the  guard service of a military unit at combat positions in the  Gegharkunik region, violated the rules while on combat duty and did  not resist the armed forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan on  September 13, 2022 during the attack.  Specifically, on September 13,  2022, without the permission of a senior commander, they ordered  personnel to leave combat positions, leaving combat positions  unprotected.

On December 20, 2023, the prosecutor opened a public criminal  prosecution against V.G. and N.M. under Part 6 of Article 540 of the  Criminal Code (violation of the rules of combat duty or combat  service during combat). On April 8, 2024, the prosecutor approved the  indictment against V.G. and N.M. and submitted it to the competent  court.
