ArmInfo.Armenia's Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan, during a meeting with Council of Europe Director of Political Affairs and External Relations Miroslav Papa, presented issues related to the protection of the rights of those forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh.
According to the Defender's office, she specifically spoke about the collection of facts carried out by her office, adding that from the very first day, the Human Rights Office was actively involved in this work - they visited Goris, Kornidzor and Vayk.
The documented information was summarized in the extraordinary report of the Human Rights Defender, which was presented to international organizations and entities mandated to protect human rights, with an advisory section confirming its authenticity. Manasyan also touched upon the policy of Armenophobia pursued by Azerbaijan and the protection of the rights of residents of border settlements of the Republic of Armenia.
The work carried out in the fight against hate speech, intolerance and discrimination was also discussed. Following the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to continue and develop cooperation in the field of human rights protection.
