ArmInfo. The subject of discussion in Brussels should not have been the price of selling Armenia, but the fact that it is not for sale, reads a statement by the opposition party "Mother Armenia".
The statement notes that on April 5, in the capital of Belgium, with the formal participation of Yerevan, the West, Ankara and Baku actually took part in the negotiations. They negotiated on Armenia against Russia and Iran (the topic of Artsakh was closed, since the West's decision on this issue was made on October 6, 2022 in Prague, a year after which ethnic cleansing was carried out by joint forces). "Aliyev and Erdogan did not take part in the US-EU-RA meeting in Brussels, but they were much more involved in the negotiation process than Nikol Pashinyan (RA Prime Minister - ed.), who was assigned the role of a Western Turkish bogeyman against Russia and Iran," the statement reads.
Its authors emphasize that before the meeting in Brussels, the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken voiced its agenda and the price of the Ukrainization of Armenia. "Our country will pay this price, Baku will be the beneficiary, Tel Aviv will sharpen its teeth, Ankara will take advantage of the situation, and geopolitical issues will be decided by the West. Apparently, Aliyev's appetites are so limitless that he does not agree to any map for demarcation and delimitation of borders with Armenia. This means that Aliyev does not demand pieces from the regions of Tavush, Syunik, Ararat, Gegharkunik, Vayots Dzor, but considers all of Armenia Azerbaijani. Everyone knows about this, but they pretend that they do not know, and together they send the Armenian people "into a 'sovereign' quagmire. Everyone pursues their own interests, which is natural, and we should not be outraged that others pursue their interests at our expense," the statement said.
The document emphasizes that "the only person you should not be angry with, but demand an account and expulsion, is Nikol Pashinyan," who, for the sake of his personal gain, put Armenia on the altar of geopolitical interests. "The topic of 270 million euros promised by the European Union is being discussed a lot. Meanwhile, the subject of discussion in Brussels should not have been the price of selling Armenia, but the fact that Armenia is not for sale," the statement said.
On April 5 a meeting in the Armenia-EU-US format was held in Brussels. The meeting participants discussed issues related to reforms and economic development of Armenia.
