ArmInfo.The majority of respondents are confident that the current government in Armenia is not capable of concluding a peace treaty with Azerbaijan on terms acceptable to Armenia, according to the results of a survey by the consulting company MPG "AntiPuzzle".
When asked, in your opinion, whether the current authorities of the Republic of Armenia will be able to conclude a peace treaty with Azerbaijan on acceptable terms that meet the interests of Armenia, only 8.7% of respondents answered unequivocally in the affirmative, 18.2% said that they would most likely be able to, 18.2% - most likely not, 48.8% - emphasized that they definitely could not, another 6.2% found it difficult to say.
In March 2023, a total of 59.9% of respondents thought so, versus 67% this year. At the same time, 11% found it difficult to answer. At the same time, 29.1% of respondents believed that the authorities in Armenia are capable of achieving peace in conditions favorable to the country, compared to 26.9% today.
At the same time, the overwhelming majority of respondents spoke out against the proposal of the Prime Minister of Armenia to hand over 4 Armenian villages of the Tavush region to Azerbaijan. 79.7% of respondents called this decision of the Prime Minister of Armenia definitely unacceptable, another 7.8% rather unacceptable, only 2.9% supported it, another 6% consider it rather acceptable, and 3.6% found it difficult to answer.
At the same time, more than half of the respondents assessed the work of the Prime Minister of Armenia negatively. 47.1% rated his work negatively, 19.9% - rather negatively, 17.% - rather positively, and only 8% were satisfied with Pashinyan's work. 7.9% - found it difficult to answer.
If we compare with the indicators of March 2023, then in general, then 40.7% were satisfied with Pashinyan's work versus 25.1% this year. And 46.6% were dissatisfied versus 67% this year. Last year, 12.6% of respondents found it difficult to answer this question.
The survey was conducted through telephone calls to residents of the Republic of Armenia from March 27 to March 29 of this year, the sample size was 1101, the sampling error was +/- 3%.
