Armenian authorities` policy could affect country`s regional,  international prospects - Russian MP

ArmInfo.The policy pursued today by the Armenian authorities can not only spoil Armenian-Russian  relations, but also deal a blow to Yerevan's prospects in regional and world affairs, Chairman of the Federation Council Committee of the Russian Federal Assembly on International Affairs, Grigory Karasin, wrote in response to an interview with the Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergei Kopyrkin.

"Our Ambassador Kopyrkin aptly formulated the danger of Yerevan's  current policy. He directly indicated the reason - the United States  is playing a card in relations with Armenia in the context of the  confrontation with Russia. This is dangerous, he emphasized, and can  cause real damage to the ties between Yerevan and Moscow.

"I would add on my own that this will not only damage relations with  Moscow, but also a blow to Yerevan's prospects in regional and world  affairs. Only the naive or the strongly biased can fail to understand  this," Karasin said.
