ArmInfo. The Armenian authorities are aware of the borders of Armenia with millimeter precision. On March 27 Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Alen Simonyan told reporters when answering a question about Yerevan's intentions to transfer four villages in the Tavush region to the control of Baku.
The speaker emphasized that he would like to meet with a person who can prove on a map that these villages belong to Armenia.
Answering the question of how the authorities determine the borders of the country, what maps they rely on, if they do not exist yet, Simonyan emphasized that the authorities can present the borders of the country meter by meter with all available maps. "The territory of Armenia is not a subject of bargaining. The people of Tavush know that Armenia has always been on this side of this line," said Simonyan. According to him, the opposition is making another false start and is trying to generate something from it. "I'm telling you in advance - this won't work. Not a single part of the territory of Armenia is subject to bargaining," concluded the NA Speaker.
Earlier, at a meeting with residents of the village of Voskepar in Tavush, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan warned about the likelihood of a new conflict if the Armenian side refuses to discuss the issue of delimitation and demarcation of the border with Azerbaijan, which does not exclude new territorial concessions from Yerevan.
The topic of delimitation of the border with Azerbaijan and territorial concessions was reopened again after the office of Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev stated on March 9 that within the framework of the process of delimitation and demarcation of the border with Armenia, "issues of the liberation of 4 exclave villages" should be resolved.
