ArmInfo.Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan today was one of the last to visit the Russian Embassy in Yerevan, where he left an entry in the book of condolences, opened yesterday at the diplomatic mission in connection with the terrorist attack in Moscow on March 22, which resulted in many innocent victims.
Since yesterday, hundreds of caring people have left notes. Khachaturyan was the one who "closed" the book of condolences on behalf of the country's official leaders. Only Deputy Foreign Minister Mnatsakyan Safaryan visited the embassy today.
As ArmInfo reported, on March 24, heads of foreign diplomatic missions, representatives of opposition political factions, a number of socio-political forces and figures of Armenia, and the leadership of Artsakh left their entries in the book of condolences opened yesterday at the embassy in connection with national mourning. None of the Armenian authorities visited the embassy.
At least 143 people were killed and more than 150 were injured, including children in terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall in Krasnogorsk near Moscow on the evening of March 22. Russian investigative authorities opened a criminal case into the incident under the article on a terrorist act.
According to the FSS (FSB) of the Russian Federation, 11 people were detained, 4 of whom were the direct perpetrators of the murders - they were detained in Bryansk, (100 km away), and, in all likelihood, were heading towards the Ukrainian border. The Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack.
