ArmInfo. The official voting results of Russian citizens on the territory of Armenia in the presidential elections held on March 15-17 have been announced. Thus, according to official results, a total of 10,396 people voted in Armenia.
6,192 people (59.5%) voted for the current president of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, and 3,883 (37.3%) for Vladislav Davankov. Less than 2% voted for the other two candidates. At the same time, 1056 ballots were spoiled (they are not counted when counting votes, according to the law).
Davankov received the largest number of votes at the polling station at the Russian Embassy in Yerevan - 3474, Putin in Gyumri.
As ArmInfo previously wrote, voting in the next Russian presidential election took place with an unprecedentedly high turnout. There was a queue at the polling station, which, according to experts, exceeded one kilometer. Many people report that many citizens of the Russian Federation came from Georgia to the Republic of Armenia to take part in the vote.
The Russian President, who has secured the support of more than 87% of voters who took part in the voting, is already accepting congratulations from the leaders of foreign countries.
According to the Kremlin, Vladimir Putin has already had telephone conversations with President of Azerbaijan, President of Belarus, President of Kazakhstan, President of Kyrgyzstan, President of Tajikistan and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
