ArmInfo.Aliyev's genocidal and dictatorial regime once again violates international law, former Artsakh State Minister Artak Beglaryan wrote on his Facebook account.
"They not only kidnapped the leadership of Artsakh, but also impede the possibility of their legal defense by forcing them to give interviews. It is also a crime to use hostages for propaganda purposes," Beglaryan noted.
He recalled that the first UN Special Adviser on the Prevention of Genocide, Juan Mendez, in his report dated November 1, 2023, clearly stated that the arrest of Artsakh leaders is evidence of genocide, since it indicates an intention to destroy the Artsakh community.
Azerbaijan expert Tatevik Hayrapetyan also addressed the issue of interviews with former leaders of Nagorno-Karabakh. According to her, what is happening with the military-political leadership of Nagorno- Karabakh is part of the information and psychological war being waged against Armenia. Her goal is to use the interview against the Armenian public.
"Regardless of our personal attitude towards these people, we must understand that they are under pressure and in a difficult situation. I also urge our members of the press to be very attentive to these publications, to understand the goals, the messages, and not just provide them as information Armenian public. I myself deal with Azerbaijani propaganda every day, I always filter it, accompany it with comments, and also mention the possibilities of confrontation. It is important to understand that today the war is being waged in our brains, impoverishing us and instilling a feeling of powerlessness. This is one of the most important components war, so let's be careful and attentive to this propaganda," Hayrapetyan emphasized.
Interestingly, the Azerbaijani media announced an interview with the former head of Artsakh Arayik Harutyunyan to the Az.TV channel.
