ArmInfo.Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, worsening relations with Russia, is fulfilling Turkey's political order. This was stated by former Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Hrant Bagratyan on February 29 at a rally demanding the resignation of the Prime Minister, organized by the "Together" movement on Freedom Square in Yerevan.
As ex-Prime Minister Hrant Bagratyan stated, Nikol Pashinyan led the Armenian people to the "point of no return." "The logic of further action necessarily leads to war. The man who surrendered Artsakh in exchange for peace, but never received it, today says that there will be no peace," the politician said. In his opinion, Pashinyan's steps indicate that he is deliberately leading the country to war, "even one gets the impression that he is forcing developments". Nikol Pashinyan also deliberately worsens relations with Russia, he noted. "We have entered into an agreement on strategic allied relations with this country (Russia). We do not have such agreements with France and the United States: they are important for us, but they are not our allies," Bagratyan said.
Even if you agree with Pashinyan's statement that Russia is a bad ally, this does not mean that it will become a "good enemy," the former prime minister believes.
"As soon as they (Ankara) make sure that Armenian-Russian relations have reached the point where the latter will not give a damn about Armenia, Turkey will immediately take advantage of the situation and attack Armenia," the former prime minister said.
The next rally of the "Together" movement will be held on March 13. The previous rally of the "Together" movement took place on February 20, the day of the next anniversary of the start of the Artsakh movement. Then the opposition factions in parliament were asked to initiate a process of a vote of no confidence in the prime minister and the government.
