Armenian Ambassador at Large Edmon Marukyan resigns

ArmInfo. Edmon Marukyan submitted an application to the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol  Pashinyan for dismissal from the post of Ambassador at Large of Armenia. He wrote on his Facebook page.

"In a difficult period for our state and region, I took on this  mission with great responsibility and great dedication.  However,  recently, differences in our vision on a number of fundamental  foreign policy issues make my further participation in the foreign  policy front impossible.

I assure you that through my knowledge and experience, as well as  international connections, I will continue to serve our state and  people, protecting the national and state interests of the Republic  of Armenia.  God bless the Republic of Armenia," Marukyan wrote.

Edmon Marukyan was appointed Ambassador-at-Large on March 14, 2022.  He heads the "Bright Armenia" extra- parliamentary party. The former  MP's "Bright Armenia" party was a member of the "Elk" parliamentary  bloc. The other 2 participants of the bloc were the "Civil Contract",  led by Nikol Pashinyan, and the "Republic" party , headed by Aram  Sargsyan.
