ArmInfo.Yesterday, statements were made in the European Parliament that Armenia's relations with the EU have never been as strong as they are now. Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said on February 28 during the government hour in the Nional Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, responding to the problem often raised by the expert community related to the fact that Armenia is alone today.
"It would be nice if we learned to be alone, because then we would know about the problems and strive to solve them. Armenia stood alone in 1996 when it was forced to veto the OSCE summit in Lisbon. If it were not alone, then there would be no need to use the veto. Then, after the veto was used, the OSCE Chairman made a statement, in which he actually stated that Armenia is alone," the head of the Cabinet noted. He noted that today relations between Armenia and France, for example, are reaching a completely new level, when cooperation begins in a number of new areas. An agreement on strategic partnership was recently signed with Georgia, which, in addition to a number of areas, stipulates that Armenia and Georgia recognize each other's territorial integrity. "In February alone I made four foreign visits, and March will be no less active. Large-scale events are planned for April," Pashinyan said, without specifying what events he was talking about.
