ArmInfo.RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Daren Tang discussed prospects for expanding cooperation between Armenia and WIPO at a meeting in Geneva.
According to the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, the interlocutors expressed their readiness to continue making efforts to further deepen the partnership, including through the implementation of specific projects.
The parties mutually emphasized the great potential for cooperation in the areas of high technology, innovation, economics, education, as well as promoting business ties, increase the involvement of women and young professionals. A readiness to realize this potential to the maximum was expressed. In this regard, Mirzoyan emphasized the fact of Armenia's accession to the WIPO treaty base and the successful experience of cooperation already formed.
The head of the Armenian Foreign Ministry and the Director General of WIPO touched upon the possibility of organizing mutual visits. An exchange of views also took place on the work being carried out towards the establishment of a national training center in the field of intellectual property.
