Armenia`s IC, U.S. FBI discuss promising areas of cooperation

ArmInfo.Deputy Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia Arsen Ayvazyan  received Ms. Heather Berg, Legal Attach‚ of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) of the U.S. Department of Justice in Armenia and Georgia.

According to the press service of the Investigative Committee,  Ayvazyan thanked Ms.  Berg for her personal contribution to the  development of progressively developing cooperation between the  Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia and the U.S. FBI.

Arsen Ayvazyan added that this cooperation continues to give tangible  results, in particular, in developing the professional skills of  investigators of the RA Criminal Investigation Department in the  fight against money laundering and some types of transnational  crimes, as well as in the disclosure of a number of particularly  serious crimes.

Heather Berg, in turn, highly appreciated the warm and productive  relation that had developed with the Investigative Committee of the  Republic of Armenia.  During the meeting, the jointly performed works  were summarized and assessed, the current needs of the RA  Investigative Committee and new directions for future cooperation  between the two bodies were discussed.
