Ameriabank maintains leadership in mortgage market with share of over  21%

ArmInfo.Ameriabank maintains leadership in the banking system of Armenia in terms of the volume of  mortgage loans with a market share of 21.3% at the end of 2023. This is noted in the bank's message.

In 2023, Ameriabank's mortgage portfolio increased by more than 47  billion drams or 25.3%, exceeding 233 billion drams. The message  especially emphasized that more than 45% of mortgage loans for the  purchase of apartments on the primary market through Ameriabank were  provided online. Moreover, in December alone this figure was 51%.

The message states that Ameriabank's Estate.ameriabank.am platform  makes available the entire process of purchasing an apartment in the  primary market online, without the need to visit the bank. Currently,  the platform features more than 90 buildings, with over 1,650  apartments and private houses.

According to the Express Ranking of Armenian Banks as of December 31,  2023, prepared by ArmInfo Investment Company, Ameriabank's assets  amount to $3.5 billion, with a y-o-y growth of 12.6%, the share of  credit investments within them accounts for almost 70% or $2.4  billion. The total capital of the bank amounted to $483.7 million,  with a y-o-y growth of 13.8%. Ameriabank completed 2023 with a net  profit of $113.8 million. Ameriabank, maintaining the leadership of  the total capital and the leading position in the credit portfolio,  is in the top three in terms of other main balance sheet indicators.  In the banking sector of Armenia, only Ameriabank has institutional  investors in its capital represented by EBRD with a participation  share of 17.71% and the Asian Development Bank with a share of  13.92%.
