ArmInfo. Never before has Armenia been so dependent on Russia as it is today, the vice-chairman  of the formerly ruling Republican Party in the country, Armen Ashotyan, who is under arrest in the Nubarashen criminal correctional institution, wrote in his article.

According to him, this happened due to the adventurous theatrical  performances of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol  Pashinyan. "Nikol Pashinyan's two latest public speeches - in  Aragatsotn and in an interview with The Telegraph - are organically  connected with the recent clashes in Nerkin Hand and our latest  victims, to whose families I express my deepest condolences," the  politician noted.

He emphasized that low-quality manipulations, open lies, blatant  deceptions aimed at internal and external audiences show how  defenseless Armenia is today and how destructive Pashinyan's domestic  and foreign policies are. "The events in Nerkin Hand exposed the  obvious defenselessness of our country, when the current regime  threatens to punish its own soldiers, and no external factor or  security mechanism works in our favor. Security relations with the  CSTO and Russia are maintained exclusively in a de jure format, in  other words , are purely formal. And the support expected from the  West, at best, manifested itself in another empty salvo of fears,  appeals and regrets. In other words, the thesis about the  diversification of the security sector, which is propagated by the  regime, is a bubble, a geopolitical lie. Neither is the observer  mission The EU, neither the strategic partnership with the United  States or Great Britain, nor French weapons - no factor that  Pashinyan presented to us as "an achievement and guarantee" has  prevented and will not prevent another deadly provocation on the part  of Azerbaijan," Ashotyan said.

He noted that the West is partly angry with Azerbaijan, but only in  words and solely out of its own interests. "Firstly, because  Azerbaijan "dumped" the EU by receiving Artsakh and then rejecting  the Brussels format, and secondly, because Aliyev's behavior at this  stage impedes the implementation of the West's main goal in the South  Caucasus, that is, the expulsion of Russia hence. In the current  situation, EU officials can only be consoled by the fact that their  "bold" tweets and statuses against Azerbaijan are an inexhaustible  source of euphoria for various fake "Eurocentrists". He noted that  the West is partly angry with Azerbaijan, but only in words and  exclusively out of its own interests. In other words, in essence, we are completely  losing the support of Russia and are not receiving sufficient support  from the West. This is not a "diversification" of foreign policy, but  a total failure, bankruptcy, collapse.

The geopolitical paradox is that Armenia has never been as dependent  on Russia as it is today, due to Pashinyan's unsuccessful and  adventurous actions. Thanks to Nikol's efforts, Armenia fell into a  geopolitical trap. Anti-Russian propaganda leads to dependence on  Russia. And the "struggle for sovereignty" means the loss of  sovereignty," Ashotyan wrote.
