ArmInfo. In Armenia, only 13.4% of respondents support the proposal of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on the need to adopt a new Constitution, according to a poll conducted by the MPG.
When asked whether it is necessary to adopt a completely new Constitution, as Pashinyan announced on January 19, or to make changes to the current one, 38.1% of respondents expressed the belief that there is absolutely no need for this. Another 34.2% noted that there is a need to change some provisions of the main law of the country, 13.4% were in favor of a new Constitution, another 14.4% found it difficult to answer.
When asked whether it is really necessary to hold early parliamentary elections in the country to resolve the internal political crisis, 29.3% were definitely in favor of holding elections, 20.8% were rather in favor of holding elections, 15.6% were rather against holding such electoral processes, 26.9% were categorically against , another 7.4% found it difficult to answer.
At the same time, in November 2023 there were fewer supporters of holding such elections - only 23.3%, another 18.1% were rather in favor of holding them, 14.1% were rather against, 33.7% were against, 10.8% were undecided.
At the same time, for clarification, if elections were held next Sunday, which political force would you vote for, 16.1% pointed to the ruling Civil Contract party of Nikol Pashinyan, 4.7% - the Armenia bloc of Robert Kocharyan, 3.6% party " Public voice of Vardan Ghukasyan, 2.9% - Serzh Sargsyan's "With Honor" bloc, 1.5% of Gagik Tsarukyan's "Prosperous Armenia", 1.3% - Aram Sargsyan's "Republic" party, another 0.9% - National Democratic Pole. 1.3% - named other parties, 5.4% - no one, 13.4% - refused to answer, 23.1% - found it difficult to answer, another 25.8% said that they would not participate in the elections.
The survey was conducted through telephone calls to residents of the Republic of Armenia in the period from January 23 to January 26 of this year, the sample size was 1100, the sampling error was +/- 3%.
