ArmInfo.Synergy company refutes the accusations voiced by some media sources against the company's founding director Ashot Hovhannisyan and two employees. The company's statement notes that such accusations are groundless and cast a shadow on the good reputation of Synergy, its founder and employees.
"An investigation is currently underway and the company will provide additional information shortly. We urge you to respect the presumption of innocence and refrain from unverified and unfounded labeling," the statement said.
According to the message of the Supreme Judicial Council of the Republic of Armenia, by the decision of the Anti-Corruption Court, the director of the Synergy company Ashot Hovhannisyan was arrested for a period of two months.
The decision was made in the framework of a controversial case involving officials of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia. At the moment, there is no court decision regarding Deputy Minister of Economy Ani Ispiryan and the wife of the brother of the Speaker of the Parliament of Armenia Alen Simonyan, Ani Gevorgyan, which is expected to be published at 5:00 p.m.. According to Armenian media sources, a decision was made to arrest the head of the public investment policy department of the Ministry of Economy, Liliya Sirakanyan.
Earlier, the Investigative Committee of Armenia announced the detention of 7 people after searches at the Ministry of Economy. These persons, by prior conspiracy, abused their official powers. In particular, as part of the "establishment of a bank for public investment programs" tender they entered into a conspiracy with the head of one of the companies, creating artificial obstacles to the participation of competitors. As a result, the company that submitted an application three times more expensive (392 million drams) won.
