ArmInfo. Following the Tatev monastery complex, Etchmiadzin Cathedral and Harichavank, this time the target of the Azerbaijani falsification was the Haghartsin monastery complex. Ombudsman for Culture Hayk Hovik Avanesov wrote on his Facebook page.
"Azerbaijan continues to make territorial claims to the Republic of Armenia at the state level, deepening its aggressive policy day by day. After the Tatev monastery complex, the Etchmiadzin Cathedral and Harichavank, the Haghartsin monastery complex became the target of Azerbaijani falsification. The Haghartsin monastery complex is located 18 km north of the city Dilijan, Tavush region, in the village of Haghartsin," Avanesov notes.
At the same time, it is emphasized that the Azerbaijani state propaganda machine not only distorts the history of this famous monastery complex, but also presents the city of Dilijan and the village of Haghartsin as "historical Azerbaijani settlements." Avanesov states that all these actions once again prove that Azerbaijan, which has neither history nor culture, is trying to take over the historical and cultural heritage of the peoples of the region through falsification. "Recently, Azerbaijani TikTok channels published videos in which the Haghartsin monastery complex is presented as Albanian. These and many other facts clearly demonstrate the features of Azerbaijan's anti-Armenian policy pursued at the state level," Avanesov summed up.
