ArmInfo. The Republic of Armenia will be provided with information about its sovereign territory after the process of delimitation and demarcation. Chairman of the Real Estate Cadastre Committee, Suren Tovmasyan, stated during a briefing on January 25.
When asked on the basis of which maps these processes will be carried out, Tovmasyan noted that in this situation a legal assessment is important. The latter, according to Tovmasyan, will determine which maps can be used for demarcation and delimitation of borders.
The head of the commission said that the working group headed by Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan is responsible for this work. "Two of my deputies are also included in the working group. Work is carried out on a daily basis. When the results come, you will definitely be notified," Tovmasyan said.
Referring to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's statement that "the country does not have a cadastral certificate," he noted that, in his opinion, the head of government only meant that our borders are not delimited.
On May 24, 2023, Nikol Pashinyan said from the rostrum of parliament: "We all live in a place for which we do not have a cadastral certificate." According to him, if we manage to sign a peace treaty with Azerbaijan, then, by his definition, we will receive this certificate.
