Yeghoyan noted that according to statistical data, over the past four years the country has seen a dynamic increase in the number of death cases in the army in non-combat conditions. For example, 63 deaths were recorded in 2018, 49 in 2019, 54 in 2020, 58 in 2021, 64 in 2022, and even more in 2023. The same dynamics have been observed in the area of self-harm over the past three years. 65 such cases were recorded in 2020, 77 in 2021, and 108 in 2022. The data for 2023 have not been summarized yet.
A representative of the Ombudsperson's office noted that the state is responsible for such a situation.
