ArmInfo. The next meeting of the commissions on delimitation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border will take place at the end of January. Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan stated in an interview with the RFE/RL's Armenian service. According to him, at the meeting, according to the initial agreements, the draft Regulations on the joint activities of the commissions will be discussed first.
This Regulation must clearly define documents and types of legal acts that have legal significance for use during joint work, the latest topographic maps of the USSR period compiled and published by the competent authorities on appropriate legal grounds, and other similar issues.
On May 24, 2022, within the framework of the implementation of the agreements reached between Armenia and Azerbaijan and on the basis of relevant orders, the first meeting of the Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan and the Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev took place on the Armenian-Azerbaijani interstate border in the format of joint work of commissions on issues of delimitation and security of the border between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan. Then, along with meetings on the interstate border, the parties agreed on the advisability of using various platforms for holding subsequent meetings. In particular, they agreed to hold a second meeting in Moscow and a third meeting in Brussels. The last two meetings took place on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border in the direction of Tavush-Gazakh.
